5 Free Android Apps Every Teacher Must Have

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

As a year-ender, I am sharing to you 5 Android Apps which I have been using everyday as a teacher, student, researcher and blogger.  If you have been reading this blog, you will know that I have been an advocate of Google Apps lately (esp. Google Drive), but this time, I am sharing other apps that I find very helpful in my work and personal life.  I hope you will find these apps useful in your career, profession and personal life too.

1. POCKET

“When you find something you want to view later, put it in Pocket.”

This is one of the apps that I love because whenever I find  webpages and blog posts that are useful, I can save it for later viewing especially on times when there is no internet connection. It’s a great bookmarking tool with a very nice interface. This is nice when you find helpful resources for your classes.

2. ALDIKO

unnamed (1)

Aldiko is a PDF-viewer app. This is where I save and read all the PDFs I get from the internet. Ever since I shifted to paperless reading, this app comes very handy. I love the “library” interface too. So if you’re a reader like me, you got to have this app too. This is great for teachers who would like to minimize the books they carry.

3. TUBEMATE

Tubemate is an app where you can download videos from Youtube. For as long as you use the app for personal reasons and you don’t use it to download videos for business, then you can maximize this app. This is what I use to download Youtube videos I use for my classes.

4. MY MONEY TRACKER

unnamed (2)

I downloaded this app  for personal use. It’s a great tool to organize the flow of income and expenses. Unlike other finance organizer apps, this one adds current income of the month to the previous month’s balance (excess) so balancing and budgeting is continuous.

5. KINGSOFT OFFICE SUITE

unnamed (3)

This is an app which helps us deal with office tasks with ease. This is what I use in saving, reading and working on Microsoft documents on my phone. Now, I won’t have to use my very bulky laptop to write lesson plans, make documents and other paperwork.

So, that’s it! Happy “App Downloading”! I’ll be sharing more soon.

And by the way, I have a New Year giveaway as well! I’ll be giving out two “Pera na hindi Bitin” books by Eduardo O Roberto, Jr. This book will help you in managing your finances. Trust me, this book has been an eye-opener for me, that is why I have learned to track the flow of my expenses using the My Money Tracker app I mentioned above.
